Our Team

At Equine Human Mindfulness, our team comprises a variety of animals, including seven horses of different sizes, ranging from a miniature pony at 7h (hands high) to our gentle giant at 17.2h.

Additionally, we have a range of chickens, two dogs, and a cat, all of which contribute to our diverse and unique group.

About Me

For over four decades, my passion for horses has played a significant role in shaping my life. At the age of 15, I finally convinced my family to allow me to have my own horse, liberating me from relying on others for riding opportunities. Through my experience with Pony Club, training, and competing in Dressage for more than 30 years, as well as breeding my own Warmbloods, I have devoted considerable time to developing a profound comprehension of horse behavior and horsemanship. Along the way, I have discovered how horses learn, adapt, and flourish, gaining an appreciation for the unique gifts that these magnificent animals offer us humans simply by being themselves.

Whilst I don’t compete anymore I still love going on long rides in the bush, just me and my boy, out in nature where nothing else matters.

As you gain knowledge and insight into the way horses communicate, riding and training these majestic animals becomes increasingly effortless. When horse and rider are in sync, a true partnership is formed, where both parties are equal and attuned to one another.

Working with so many horses over the years, observing their likes and dislikes, personalities and quirky behaviours, I also noticed when I was around my horses I just felt better. Over time I have discovered the incredible power of trust and the potential for a healing relationship between humans and horses.

My passion to embrace the sensitive and therapeutic nature of the relationship between horses and humans was what inspired me to start Equine Human Mindfulness – Nurturing Mind, Body and Soul.

I am a Certified Equine Assisted Learning Practitioner through the Equine Psychotherapy Institute.

Equine Human Mindfulness offers a safe purpose built environment in nature working alongside horses/ponies to explore and understand the relationship with ourselves better and to live our best life possible.

I love working with children and adolescents; particularly children on the spectrum.  I can deliver programs full of fun activities and enjoy spending time in nature with our horses/ponies. I have created a wide range of programs that cater not only to children but to anyone seeking assistance with personal growth, learning objectives, and professional development. Whether you are an individual looking to develop yourself or part of a corporate group seeking a retreat, my programs can provide the support and guidance you need.

I believe everyone can benefit from Equine Assisted Learning experiences and welcome all inquiries.
